1 - Top coolant hose
q   To connection fitting at cylinder head
2 - O-ring
q   replace
3 - Radiator
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   after replacing fill entire system with fresh coolant
4 - Gasket
5 - Screw cap
6 - Connector
7 - 2 Nm
8 - Expansion reservoir
q   Check the cooling system for tightness → Chapter
q   Test pressure 0.14...0.16 MPa (1.4 ...1.6 bar) - overpressure
9 - Support
q   for radiator
10 - 5 Nm
11 - Bearings
12 - Fan shroud
q   removing and installing → Chapter
13 - Right radiator fan -V35-
14 - Radiator fan -V7-
q   with radiator fan control unit -J293-
15 - Bottom coolant hose
q   to the connection fitting for the coolant regulator
16 - Retaining clip
17 - Thermoswitch or sender
Depending upon vehicle equipment:
q   Thermoswitch for radiator fan - F18-
q   three-pin plug
switching temperatures:
q   1. Stage: 92 - 97 °C on; 84 °C off
q   2. Stage: 99 - 105 °C on; 91 °C off
or
q   Coolant temperature sender at radiator outlet -G83-
q   two-pin plug
18 - O-ring
q   replace
