t  Hand vacuum pump, e.g. -VAS 6213-

t  Make an -adapter- out of the high pressure line.
Test condition
l  The tests on the low-pressure side of the fuel line were carried out and no complaints arose.
l  The return flow quantity on the high pressure pump was checked and no complaints arose.
l  The fuel tank is filled with clean fuel according to the valid standards.

–  Connect the prepared, well cleaned adapter to the high pressure connection piece of the high pressure pump to 20 Nm.
–  Connect the hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213- with the prepared adapter.
–  Using the hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213-, generate a pressure of min. 1 bar.
If the high pressure pump is O.K, the pressure remains constant for more than 30 s.
If the high pressure pump is defective, the pressure drops again within 2 ... 3 s to 0 bar.
If necessary repeat the test, pay attention to the pressure loss on the hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213-.
