Remove and install key module for the operation of the audio and telephone
Remove and install key module for the operation of the audio and telephone
The mounting sequence is identical for both key modules.
Removing
–  Remove the airbag unit in the steering wheel → Body Work; Rep. gr.69.
   
–  Expose wiring loom -arrows- and disconnect the plug connection -1- from the key module.

–  Swivel out the key module -2--arrow- until the locking bolts -1- are slackened, move slightly into the centre of the steering wheel and remove.
Install
Installation is performed in the reverse order, pay attention to the following points:
  Note
t  Before the airbag is installed, it must be checked if all the wiring is properly pressed back into the guiding grooves in the steering wheel foam. Wiring which protrudes can be damaged by the backside parts of the airbag.
t  Pay attention to the work sequence when connecting the battery → Chapter.
–  If the left key module was replaced with the integrated control unit, then the coding must be carried out with the → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
