Removing and installing steering lock - as of 06.10
Removing and installing steering lock - as of 06.10
Removing
–  Remove steering wheel → Body Work; Rep. gr.69, bottom and top steering column trim panel → Body Work; Rep. gr.70.
–  Remove restoring ring with coil spring → Chapter.
–  Remove steering column combination switch → Chapter.
   
–  Disconnect the plug from the ignition starter switch and from the reader coil.
–  Bore out fixing screws -1- and remove steering lock -3- with carrier of combination switch -2-.

–  Press off catches -arrows- and remove carrier of combination switch -1- from steering lock housing -2-.
Install
Installation is performed in the reverse order, pay attention to the following points:
–  Screw on steering lock with new pull-off screws and tighten until the screw heads are torn off.
–  Make sure that all the retaining lugs and plug connections lock in place correctly.
