Removing and installing the control unit for multimedia systemJ650 with integrated socket
Removing and installing the control unit for multimedia system -J650- with integrated socket
The control unit for multimedia system -J650- with integrated socket is located below the glove compartment/front passenger's side.
Removing
–  Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.
–  Remove the damping trim panel below the dash panel/front passenger's side.
   
–  Carefully wedge the screwdriver -see fig.- and slightly lever off the glove compartment -2--arrow A-.
–  Support it on the glove compartment from the rear via the plastic cover -1--arrow B- and press the glove compartment -2- out of the dash panel -arrow C-.
–  Disconnect the plug connection.

–  Slightly raise the clamp -2- with the latch clips -arrows A- and push out the control unit -1--arrows B-.
Install
Installation is performed in the reverse order, pay attention to the following points:
–  When replacing the control unit, it must be checked or coded with → Vehicle diagnostic tester
