Safety precautions, basic information on fault finding and on repairing |
t
| ABS is a vehicle security system, in-depth knowledge of the system is required for working on such systems. Testing and replacement or repairs should be carried out by personnel specially trained for ABS. |
t
| Faults are indicated by the ABS warning light, the red brake system warning light and the warning light for ESP. Certain faults are not detected until after a minimum speed of 20 km/h has been exceeded (conduct a road test). |
t
| If the ABS warning light and the brake system warning light do not light up and if in spite of this the brake system is not fully operational, look for the fault in the conventional brake system → Chapter and → Chapter. |
