Removing
–  Removing multi-function switch -F125- → Chapter.
   
–  Lever off the selector lever control cable from the lever/gearshift shaft -arrow-.

–  Drive tensioning pin -1- out of gearbox shift lever -2--arrow-, until the gearbox shift lever can be pulled out of the gearshift shaft.

–  Remove the gasket ring using a screwdriver.
Install
–  Smear the outer surface and sealing lips of the gasket ring with ATF.
Fitting position:
The open side of the gasket ring faces towards the gearbox.

–  Drive the new gasket ring up to the stop in the pressure plate; do not tilt the gasket ring.
–  Push the gearbox shift lever onto the gearshift shaft and drive in the tensioning pin.
–  Using pliers, press the lever control cable onto the lever/gearshift shaft; while doing so, do not bend the lever/gearshift shaft, otherwise it will no longer be possible to set gearshift operation exactly.
–  Installing multi-function switch -F125- → Chapter.
