Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Universal dial gauge holder -MP 3-447 (VW 387)-
t  Dial gauge
Carry out measurement with the camshaft housing removed and the end cover installed.
   
Checking the axial play of the camshaft
l  Wear limit: 0.4 mm
