Removing and installing the dash panel insert
  Note
t  After reading in the information stored in the control unit, the work sequence „adjust/replace dash panel insert“ must be carried out before replacing the dash panel insert → Chapter.
t  The dash panel insert must not be disassembled. In the event of a fault, the dash panel insert must be replaced completely.
Removing
–  Switch off all electrical components and take out the ignition key.
   
–  Pull out the steering wheel -1- towards you and lock it in its lowest position.
–  Release the cover -2- and remove it towards you.
–  Release screws -arrows- (1,5 Nm).
–  Release the dash panel insert -3- by pulling the round indicators towards you and remove.

–  Press the catch -1- and disconnect the plug connection by tilting out the clamp -arrow-.
–  Take out the dash panel insert.
Install
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
