SUBJECT
Removal of Front Grille
Procedure:
A.
Removal
1.
Open hood and use a small blunt tool (such as a Phillips screwdriver) and push down on the four grille retaining clips that are located in the four
slots at the top of the grille. You will hear a snap noise from the clips when they are released.
2.
Pull the grille out toward you slightly so the clips are out of the radiator support, then lift up and the grille will be removed.
Do not pull the grille out too far or damage to the center retainer may occur.
B.
Installation
1.
Reset the four clips by pushing the clips in the opposite direction (you will again hear a snap noise when the clips are reset). The center retaining
clip will face up and look like a (w) when installed on the grille.
2.
Line up the clips in the proper holes and while pushing in toward the vehicle, the grille will be reinstalled.
See Service Manual (MSA5M9711A), Volume 2, Section 5-1 [WI2AO] for any further information.
