Seat Belt: Description and Operation
ADJUSTABLE SHOULDER ANCHOR
The front seat belt has a mechanism that allows the occupant to select the most appropriate shoulder anchor height from among the five positions
[changeable within 100 mm (3.94 in) range].
BELT IN SEAT
The front inner belt is now integral with the front seat. This keeps the relative positions of the occupant and the front inner belt always constant,
irrespective of the adjustments of the front seat position.
When an impact is applied to the occupant in a collision, the inner belt is pulled together with the upper hook in the direction of the arrow to engage the
upper hook with the lower hook. As a result, the impact load is transmitted to the vehicle body and dispersed.
