1-11. Jack and Spare Tire
The jack and spare tire are stored in the engine room as shown in the illustration.
NOTE:
a.
When restoring the spare tire ("T-type" tire) in the engine room, make sure the disc side is facing downward.
b.
When installing the jack holder, be sure to insert its pin into the hole in the body-side bracket.
c.
Install the jack as shown in the illustration. The jack itself can be secured even if the spare tire is not stored.
d.
Only the "T-type" tire can be stored in the engine room. A flat tire should be stored as follows.

Station Wagon
Place the flat tire in the luggage room and secure it with the straps equipped on the floor.
(2)
BRAT
Place the flat tire on the cargo floor and secure it with the bolt and washer found in the maintenance tools.

Spare tire supporter
(1)
Be sure to put the spare tire supporter in position regardless of whether the spare tire is stored or not. The heat insulation cover is attached to
the supporter. This is to protect adjacent parts from the heat of the engine. The left side bolt holding the supporter to the body is a special one
(Tamper-proof).
(2)
If the supporter prevents you from performing maintenance, remove the right side bolt and raise the supporter upward.
