RECEIVER DRIER PRODUCTION CHANGE
A Production change has been made to the line installed air conditioners.. All vehicles built after February 3, 1983, will have a larger receiver drier. The
starting serial numbers are listed below.

The capacity of the receiver drier has been increased from 260 cc to 420 cc.

The inlet and outlet fittings have been relocated to the top of the receiver drier. Both the condenser to receiver drier pipe (liquid pipe number 2) and the
receiver drier to evaporator pipe (liquid pipe number 1) have been changed to accommodate the new receiver drier configuration. Also, the fan pressure
switch has been relocated from the top of the receiver drier to a fitting on the condenser to receiver drier pipe. See Figure 1.
The part numbers for the new receiver drier and liquid pipes are:

The system freon specification is still 26 ounces. System cooling performance is not changed.
