Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2.
Remove the steering column retaining bolts and pull it down.
3.
Remove the instrument cover retaining screws.
4.
Disconnect all cluster electrical connections.
5.
On GL and GLF models, remove the center ventilator control lever.
6.
On Hatchback 4 wheel drive GL and Station Wagon 4 wheel drive GL models, remove the center ventilator control lever and passing lamp switch.
7.
On all models, remove the instrument cluster retaining screws.
8.
Pull the instrument cluster slightly out of the dash.
9.
Disconnect the speedometer cable and cluster electrical connections.
10.
Remove the instrument cluster from the dash.
11.
Reverse procedure to install.
