Thermal Vacuum Valve - EVAP: Testing and Inspection
Thermo Vacuum Valve-3 Port
1.
Connect hoses to the output ports of the thermo valve for the air cleaner and EGR valve. Plug the output port to distributor.
2.
Submerge valve in warm water and check that valve is open below 86 deg. F and closed above 104 deg. F.check valve operation by blowing
through hoses. Do not allow any water to get inside the valve.
3.
Connect hoses to the output port to the EGR valve and the distributor. Plug the port to the air cleaner.
4.
Submerge in warm water and check that the valve is open above 68 deg. F and closed below 50 deg. F.
