PARTS SUPPLY - you will be provided with the following:
(to be completed by the distributor)
In addition, you will be supplied at no charge, three (3) special gauge tools (P/N SPS 065300) for use on non-Turbo vehicles. The use of these tools is
explained in the Recall Repair Procedure - HCC-33.
5.
CAMPAIGN INSTRUCTIONS
The owner is instructed in the notification letter to schedule an appointment to have the inspection/repair performed. At the appointed time, the owner is
instructed to present his vehicle and the two-part Recall Certification/Repair Order Form to his Subaru Dealer for repairs if the "owner of record" is still
in possesion of the subject vehicle. If the "owner of record" is not in possession of the subject vehicle, he is asked to complete the change of ownership
prepaid postcard and return it to SOA.
If an owner loses his Recall Certification/Repair Order Form, he should contact our Customer Relations Department to obtain a replacement form.
When you are presented a Recall Certification/Repair Order Form by a Subaru owner, follow the instructions in Recall Repair Procedure HCC-33.
Potentially affected vehicles in your inventory should be inspected/repaired prior to retall sale.
Included are the following:
1.
One copy of a computer printout listing affected vehicles sold by you
2.
One copy of the Owner Notification Letter
3.
One copy of the two-part Recall Certification/Repair Order Form
4.
Two copies of Recall Repair Procedure HCC-33
We recommend that you establish a service file on this recall and keep all documents relating to this recall in that file. Furthermore, we suggest that you
discuss this recall with members of your staff so they will be knowledgeable in the proper handling procedures. This will ensure that this recall runs
smoothly.
