A/C Relay
A/C Circuit
PURPOSE
In addition to responding to the A/C switch to turn the air conditioning compressor "ON," the A/C relay has a cut function controlled by the ECU.
This enables the ECU to turn the compressor "OFF" when it receives a "full throttle" signal from the throttle sensor, ensuring maximum
availability of engine power for acceleration. A faulty A/C cut relay does not set a trouble code.
LOCATION
The relay is mounted on a bracket above the A/C evaporator.
