Shift Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
Shift Solenoid 1

MEASURE TCM VOLTAGE OUTPUT SIGNAL 

Measure TCM Signal Voltage Output

1.

Raise vehicle and support with safety stands.

CAUTION: On AWD models, raise all wheels off ground.

2.

Warm up engine and transmission.

3.

Move shift lever to "D."

4.

Measure signal voltage output from TCM while idling the engine.

Connector & Terminal

Specified voltage 

(B52) 10 - 13

10 Volts, minimum

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTORS BETWEEN TCM AND SHIFT SOLENOID 1 

Check Harness And Connectors Between TCM And Shift Solenoid 1

1.

Unplug connector from TCM.

2.

Unplug connector from transmission.

3.

Measure resistance between TCM connector and transmission connector, and between TCM connector and body.

1 M Ohm, minimum

(B52) 13 - (B9) 4
