Engine Controls - DTC P0335 Information

NUMBER: 11-101-11

DATE: 04/20/11

APPLICABILITY: 2008MY Impreza N/A and Turbo Models

SUBJECT: DTC P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit)

INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this bulletin is to provide additional information when diagnosing P0335. If the ignition key is held between the "ON" and "START"
position for more than 3 seconds, there is the possibility that P0335 can be stored in memory. This is caused by an erroneous signal being sent to the
FCM. Under normal operation of the ignition switch this will not occur.

NOTE:

P0335 will be cleared from memory after 4 times of normal engine starting.
