Front Cross-Member: Service and Repair

1.

Loosen wheel nuts, then raise and support front of vehicle and remove wheels.

2.

Support engine using tool 921540000 or equivalent, then remove center undercover.

3.

Remove engine mount center member attaching nuts and bolts, then the center member.

4.

Remove exhaust system, together with muffler.

5.

Remove transverse link to crossmember attaching bolts.

6.

Remove engine mount to crossmember attaching nut at crossmember connection.

7.

Remove crossmember to body attaching bolt, then the crossmember.

8.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque crossmember to body attaching bolts to 43-51 ft.lbs., transverse link to crossmember attaching bolt to 43-58
ft.lbs. and center member attaching nuts and bolts to 20-35 ft.lbs.
