Remove the rubber seal located in the mode control panel by peeling it back with a straight blade screwdriver. (See Figure 7).

To keep the rubber seal in place after assembly, place small dabs of clear silicone sealer on the areas of the mode control panel indicated in Figure
8.

Install a new rubber seal on the mode control panel.

12)

Reassemble the mode control panel in the reverse order of disassembly.

13)

Before reinstalling the unit, check the operation of the mode control push buttons to ensure smooth operation.

14)

After assembling the dash board, check the operation of all switches to ensure their proper operation.

This procedure may be claimed under the combined operations and time allowances of #B 712-001 0.5 Hrs. and #C 712-311 0.1 Hrs. for the
total Operation Time of 0.6 Hrs. (Failure Code SGS-03).
