EGR Electronic Vacuum Regulator Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
EGR System Function Test

PROCEDURE 

1. With engine at operating temperature, raise engine speed to 3500 to 4000 RPM and note exhaust gas recirculation valve shaft movement.

As engine speed is raised, exhaust gas recirculation valve shaft should move upward. After throttle is released, exhaust gas recirculation valve
shaft should drop to its original position.
