Hood Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Description and Operation

ENGINE HOOD SWITCH

The engine hood switch detects the opening of engine hood and sends signal to the security control module.

When this switch is turned ON in armed state before opening the door or trunk lid (or rear gate), the security system recognizes the emergency and turns
to alarm state.

The engine hood switch is located at front-left position of the engine compartment.
