Fuel Gauge Sender: Description and Operation

The fuel gauge is a resistance type and indicates the fuel level in the tank even when the ignition switch is in OFF position.

All Wheel Drive models are equipped with two fuel meter units. Two fuel meter units are installed in the fuel tank, one each at the right and left
side, because the fuel tank is divided into main and sub tank area. Front Wheel Drive models are equipped with only one fuel meter unit.

The low fuel sensor (warning light switch) is installed in the main fuel meter unit.
