Crankshaft Gear/Sprocket: Service and Repair
Installation
1. CAMSHAFT AND CRANKSHAFT SPROCKET
a. Install belt cover No. 2 and tighten bolts to 4 - 6 Nm (34.8 - 51.6 in. lbs.).
b. Install tensioner bracket and tighten bolts to 23 - 27 Nm (16.7 - 19.5 ft. lbs.).
c. Install belt cover No. 2 (LH) and tighten bolts to 4 - 6 Nm (34.8 - 51.6 in. lbs.).
d. Install crankshaft sprocket.
e. Install camshaft sprocket No. 1 and camshaft sprocket No. 2 and tighten bolts to 73 - 83 Nm (54.3 - 61.5 ft. lbs.). To lock camshaft use Special
Tool (ST) 499207100 camshaft sprocket wrench, or equivalent.
CAUTION: Do not confuse left and right side camshaft sprockets during installation. The camshaft sprocket No. 2 is identified by a projection
used to monitor camshaft position sensor.
