Impact Sensor: Service and Repair

FRONT SENSOR

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Turn ignition switch Off, then wait for at least 10 minutes before starting work.

3.

Remove lower cover and lower cover panel, then disconnect airbag connectors AB3 and AB8 below steering column. Do not reconnect airbag
connectors at steering column until front sensors are securely reinstalled.

4.

Remove front console box.

5.

Disconnect 2 pin blue connector (right side front sensor) and 2 pin orange connector (left side front sensor) from airbag control unit.

6.

Roll up floor mat and side sill cover, then remove front sensor harness from clip and protector.

7.

Remove front wheels, the the front mud guard.

8.

Remove wiring harness clips securing front sensor harness.

9.

Remove grommet, then the front sensor unit.

10.

Reverse procedure to install.
