Legacy Wagon 4WD F4-2.2L SOHC (1991)
15. Remove bolts which secure rear housing to strut and separate.
Caution: Be careful not to damage oil seal lip when removing rear drive shaft. Always replace inner oil seal with a new one.
Disassemble and Inspect
Disassembly
1. Using Hub Stand (927080000) and Hub Remover (927420000) remove hub completely from rear housing.
2. Remove back plate from rear housing.
3. Using a standard screwdriver, remove outer and inner oil seals and discard.
4. Using pliers, remove snap ring.
5. Using Housing Stand (927430000) and Bearing Remover (927440000), remove bearing by pressing inner race.
Caution: Do not remove bearing unless damaged as the bearing cannot be re-used and must be replaced after removal.
6. On ABS equipped vehicles, remove tone wheel bolts and remove tone wheel from hub.
7. Using Hub Stand (927080000) press hub bolt out.
8. Invert hub and secure it to the Hub Stand (927080000).
