EGR Control Solenoid: Description and Operation
PURPOSE/OPERATION
The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) solenoid valve is situated between the Back Pressure Transducer (BPT) and EGR valve. The EGR solenoid
valve is opened by a signal emitted from the Engine Control Module (ECM). Therefore, throttle port pressure is transmitted to diaphragm of EGR
valve via the BPT.
