Remove the hinge spring by using a dip remover tool (see Figure 11 and 12).

Install in reverse order of removal.

Install new hinge spring. Note: Make sure to wear safety glasses.

Replace the clips on the hinge cover with new ones supplied (make sure they are the same color). Install hinge cover.

Make sure seat belt is behind seat belt guide (see figure 13).

Install the backrest redine handle cover. Install new hinge spring cover.

Check for proper operation of the seat: slides forward, rearward, reclines and locks into place.
