Impact Sensor: Service and Repair
1. Disarm SRS as described under Technician Safety Information.
2. Remove instrument panel lower cover and lower cover panel, then disconnect air bag electrical connector at harness spool. Do not connect this
connector again until front sensors are securely installed.
3. Remove console panel and base on driver seat side.
4. Disconnect two-pin blue electrical connector (righthand front sensor) and two-pin orange electrical connector (lefthand front sensor) from air bag
control unit.
5. Roll up floor mat and remove side sill lower cover, then remove front sensor wiring harness from clip and protector.
6. Remove front wheels, then the front mud shield.
7. Remove wiring harness bracket, then pry off four clips securing front sensor harness.
