Vacuum Pump: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery negative cable.

2.

Loosen boot hose clamp.

3.

Separate boot from air flow meter.

4.

Remove air cleaner cover, and position it with flow meter on the engine.

5.

Disconnect electrical and hose connectors from vacuum pump assembly.

6.

Remove pump and valve assemblies as a unit.

7.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque the M6 bolt to 4-7 ft. lbs., and the M5 screw to 1.4-1.8 ft. lbs.
