Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

    If any of the following procedures requires disconnecting of fuel lines, relieve fuel system pressure as follows: 

1.

Raise and support vehicle.

2.

Disconnect fuel pump electrical connector, then lower vehicle.

3.

Start engine. After engine stalls, crank for approximately five seconds, then turn ignition off.

4.

Reconnect fuel pump electrical connector.
