On the opposite side of the mode control assembly, disconnect the illumination light by turning it counterclockwise. (See Figure 5).

Holding the mode control panel assembly with the panel face facing upward, undo the two (2) clips, that secure the mode panel face to the mode 
control assembly, then separate the two. (See Figure 5).

NOTE:

After removing the mode panel face, leave the mode control assembly in an upward position with the clear push buttons left on the mode
control assembly to avoid confusion during reassembly.

Remove the white plastic piece attached to the mode control panel by undoing its five (5) plastic fasteners. (See Figure 6).
