Install the damper in the hose in the space cut out using two hose clamps. Angle the damper 90~ from the damper in the fuel inlet side, with the
housing facing the firewall. (See Figure 2).

Make sure the hose clamps are tight. Reconnect the fuel pump wiring. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Start engine and check for tightness of
all connections and clearance between the damper, clamps, and other engine components.

This procedure can be claimed for vehicles within the terms of the Subaru Warranty using Operation #A-146211, Flat Rate Time of 0.4 Hrs. and Failure
Code DDB-48.
