SUBJECT:
HOT ENGINE RESTARTING

Should you encounter a vehicle that is difficult to restart when the engine is hot, carburetur float chamber pressure may be the cause. Follow the
instructions for the installation of a carburetor vent control kit.

MATERIAL REQUIRED:

1 - Carburetor Vent Control Kit Part Number 16018AA000

Containing:

1 - Solenoid valve

^

1 - Canister vacuum hose stay

^

1 - Vacuum cap

^

1 - Vacuum tee

^

2 - Vacuum hoses, 3-3/8" long and 5-15/16" long

^

1 - Female electrical harness connector

^

1 - Wire tap quick connector

TOOLS REQUIRED

1 - Diagonal Cutter 
1 - Needle Nose Pliers 
1 - Ratchet with 10 mm, 12 mm Sockets and an extension 
1 - 10 mm Combination Wrench 
1 - Tape Measure or 12" Ruler

Remove the negative battery terminal

Remove the spare tire assembly

Remove the air cleaner assembly
