Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments

Throttle Sensor Adjustment

1.

Remove throttle sensor connector.

2.

There should be continuity between throttle sensor terminals "4" and "3" when throttle is fully closed.

3.

Insert a thickness gauge (0.55mm, 0.0217in) between throttle body stopper screw and stopper (portion "G") (this corresponds to a throttle opening
of 1.5° ).  Check that continuity still exists.

4.

Replace first thickness gauge with a second (0.92mm, 0.0362in) (this corresponds to a throttle opening of 2.5° ).  There should be no continuity.

4.

If adjustment is needed, loosen two screws securing throttle sensor to throttle chamber and adjust until the above conditions are met.

5.

If correct adjustment cannot be made, replace throttle sensor.
