Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Description and Operation
GENERAL INFORMATION
The proportioning valve is included within the brake circuit which connects the master cylinder and the wheel brakes. It is installed on dash panel
under engine hood and controls the hydraulic pressure applied to the rear wheel brakes after predetermined pressure has been reached.
CAUTION: Never disassemble proportioning valve. Disassembly will spoil its original function. If faulty condition is found, replace it with new
one.
