Fuel Tank One Way Valve: Service and Repair
FUEL TANK INLET (CHECK) VALVE
WARNING: Be sure to read "WARNING" at the beginning of On-Vehicle Service and observe there.
REMOVAL
1. Remove fuel filler cap.
2. Insert hose of a hand operated pump into fuel filler hose and drain fuel in space "A" in the figure.
CAUTION: Do not force hose of a hand operated pump into fuel tank. Doing so can damage inlet valve.
3. Hoist vehicle and disconnect fuel tank filler hose from tank.
4. Remove fuel tank inlet valve from tank.
INSTALLATION
1. Install fuel tank inlet valve to tank.
Be sure to fit protrusion of inlet valve in notch on tank inlet.
2. Connect fuel tank filler hose to tank.
3. Upon completion of installation, check hose connection for fuel leakage when refueling.
