Brake Hose/Line: Testing and Inspection

Brake Hoses and Pipes Inspection

Perform this inspection where there is enough light and use a mirror as necessary.

Check brake hoses and pipes for proper hook-up, leaks, cracks, chafing, wear, corrosion, bends, twists and other damage. Replace any of these
parts as necessary.

Check all clamps for tightness and connections for leakage.

Check that hoses and pipes are clear of sharp edges, moving parts.

CAUTION:  After replacing any brake pipe or hose, be sure to carry out air purge operation.
