Fuel Tank Pressure Release Valve: Testing and Inspection
Tank Pressure Control Solenoid Valve
Inspection
1. Check resistance of tank pressure control solenoid valve.
Resistance between two terminals: 30 - 34 Ohm at 20 °C, 68 ° F
Resistance between terminal and valve body : 1 M ohm or higher
If resistance is as specified, proceed to next operation check. If not, replace.
2. Blow air into nozzle "A". Air should not come out of nozzle "B".
3. Connect 12 V - battery to solenoid valve terminals.
In this state, blow air into nozzle "A". Air should come out of nozzle "B".
If check result is not as described, replace solenoid valve.
