Turn the brake light switch 90 degrees in either direction to the locked position.

With the plunger still at its maximum extension release the pedal slowly until it contacts the head of the plunger of the brake light switch.
NOTE:
The brake light switch self adjusts when the brake pedal contacts the plunger. If the brake lights remain ON after installing the switch, push the
pedal down and pull the plunger out again. The switch will read just when the pedal is released.
11.
Check to see if the brake lights now function as intended.
