Cutout the bad section of wire. Slip the correct sized heat shrink tubing down the wire far enough to keep it from shrinking during soldering. Place
the stripped wires together as shown.

Solder the twisted wire. Do not use to much solder only a small amount is required. When the joint is cool enough slide the shrink tubing over the
joint. Use a low intensity heat source such as a hot air gun, infrared heat source, or soft (yellow) flame. Keep the heat source at least one inch
away. Keep the heat source moving. Do not concentrate the heat in one place.
