Variable Valve Timing Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
OCV Inspection
1. Remove OCV. OCV Removal and Installation:N32A
Check OCV as follows.
If faulty condition is found, replace OCV.

Check that surface of strainer part (1) is not clog get and free from foreign material.

Check that surface of OCV is free from damage.
2. Check OCV as follows.
If faulty condition is found, replace OCV.
a. Measure resistance between terminals. If resistance is within specification, go to step b).
OCV resistance
7.15 - 7.25 ohms at 20 °C (68 °F)
