For wheel without tire pressure sensor:
Dismount tire using tire changing machine. Follow equipment manufacturer's instructions.
4) Mount tire and tire pressure sensor (if equipped) to wheel as follows.
For wheel with tire pressure sensor:
1. Check tire pressure sensor for function using special tool.
When tire pressure sensor is activated, flashing LED and beeping sound of special tool indicate an activation of the tire pressure sensor. In
case that LED does not flash and beeping sound is not heard even if special tool is normal, replace tire pressure sensor.
Special Tool
(A): 09945-86510
2. Replace seal (1) of tire pressure sensor with a new one.
3. Install tire pressure sensor (2) to wheel and then tighten tire pressure sensor mounting nut (3) to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Tire pressure sensor mounting nut (a): 9 Nm (0.9 kg-m, 6.5 lbf-ft)
4. Mount tire using tire changing machine. Follow equipment manufacturer's instructions. When mounting tire to steel wheel, refer to Matched
Tires and Wheels Description (for Vehicle Equipped with Steel Wheels) for installation position of tire and wheel.
5) Install valve core and inflate tire to proper pressure.
6) After tire is inflated, check air valve's fitting part for air leakage with soap water.
7) Register the ID code of the tire pressure sensor into the TPMS control module, referring to Registration Procedure for Tire Pressure Sensor ID
Code.
