Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor on-Vehicle Inspection

Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection

CAUTION:

-

Do not drop otherwise give excessive shock to accelerator pedal assembly (incorporating APP sensor). Accelerator pedal assembly
(incorporating APP sensor) that has experienced any excessive shock must be replaced.

Be careful not to expose sensor section of accelerator pedal assembly (incorporating APP sensor) to water and oil.

Do not disassemble accelerator pedal assembly (incorporating APP sensor).

1. Check that accelerator pedal assembly (incorporating APP sensor) has been mounted to vehicle body properly (no pinched floor carpet, etc.).

Reinstall accelerator pedal assembly (incorporating APP sensor) if it is not properly mounted.

2. Turn off ignition switch and connect scan tool to DLC.

Special Tool: SUZUKI scan tool (SUZUKI-SDT)

3. Display  Data List  mode.
4. Check that voltage varies depending on accelerator position as the following graph. If faulty condition is found, check the followings.
