Parking Brake Backing Plate: Service and Repair
Brake Back Plate Removal and Installation
Removal
1) Hoist vehicle and remove rear wheel.
2) Remove rear brake disc.
3) Remove parking brake shoe.
4) Remove drive shaft nut and rear wheel hub.
5) Remove parking brake cable cap nut (1) and parking brake cable (2).
6) Remove back plate (3).
7) Remove parking brake anchor nut (4) from back plate.
8) Remove parking brake anchor bolt (1).
9) Remove parking brake anchor (2) from back plate (3).
