Solar Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Sunload Sensor Inspection

1. Remove sunload sensor. Refer to Sunload Sensor Removal and Installation.
2. Light over the sensor vertically with an incandescent lamp of approximately 100 watt.

The distance between the sensor and the lamp should be approximately 100 mm (3.94 in.).

3. Measure the voltage between the terminals with the (+) probe on the terminal "a" and the (-) probe on the terminal "b".
4. Make sure if the voltage is approximately 0.38 - 0.42 V. If not, replace the sensor with the new one.
