Canister Vent Valve: Testing and Inspection
EVAP CANISTER AIR VALVE AND ITS CIRCUIT CHECK
INSPECTION
1. Check EVAP canister air valve for damage.
2. Check resistance of air valve.
If resistance is as specified, proceed to next operation check. If not, replace.
Resistance between two terminals:
25 - 30 ohm (at 20 °C, (68 °F))
Resistance between terminal and valve body:
1 M ohm or higher
3. Blow air into nozzle "A". Air should come out of nozzle "B".
4. Connect 12 V - battery to air valve terminals.
In this state, blow air into nozzle "A". Air should not come out of nozzle "B".
If check result is not as described, replace air valve.
