22. To restrict tensioner swing, insert rubber covered hammer (b) handle (1) between tensioner pulley (2) and crankshaft pulley (3).

Note:

To prevent pulleys from dents and/or deformation, use a rubber covered material for insertion. Use of hard material i.e. metal shaft etc. is
prohibited.

23. Tighten the tensioner pulley bolt (b) to the specified torque.

Note:

When tightening the tensioner pulley bolt, turn the tensioner up to the swing end, and then apply specified torque.

24. Remove the portion of shop towel from the water pump pulley.

Note:

Check the water pump pulley for any abrasion caused by replacement of the tensioner and touch up as necessary.

25. Fit engine harness clamp (1) to bracket, and install bracket bolt (2).
