Kizashi AWD L4-2.4L (2010)
During operation of the vehicle a condition may arise where an Emission DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) P0721 is set, causing the MIL (Malfunction
Indicator Light or Check Engine Light) to light, and go into a "fail safe" mode, and could result in the vehicle losing power/acceleration.
CAUSE:
A stepper motor in the CVT assembly (Transaxle) may not operate smoothly
when commanded. As a result the TCM may detect an abnormality in the CVT
pulley ratio, setting DTC P0721.
CORRECTION:
The TCM will be reprogrammed with new calibration program data allowing the CVT to operate as designed.

REFLASH PROCESS
1. Connect the SDT (Suzuki Diagnostic Tool) to the vehicle, then without pressing the brake pedal, switch the vehicle to a "key on, engine off"
condition.
NOTE:
The "Key on" state of the vehicle must be obtained during several of the steps in the reprogramming procedure, and can only be identified by
observing the array of warning lights illuminated in the instrument cluster area above the information center in the dash. To avoid critical errors
during the reflash process, please confirm these conditions prior to advancing through the program screens on the PC.
